December 19, 2025 – A little holiday magic rolled into Sunset Mesa as kindergartners celebrated the annual Polar Express Day—a favorite tradition filled with imagination and fun.
Students arrived ready for the journey, receiving their tickets before gathering to hear The Polar Express read aloud by a special guest who fully embraced the role of conductor. With a bit of theatrical flair, the story came to life in a way that captured everyone’s attention.
The experience continued with popcorn, hot cocoa, and a showing of the movie, creating a cozy and festive atmosphere. To top it all off, students received jingle bells from Santa—just like in the story—adding a memorable finishing touch to the day.
From ticket punches to storytelling, Polar Express Day is a magical way Sunset Mesa brings the joy of the season to its youngest students.

The kindergarten class is transformed into a winter wonderland.

The conductor punches each student’s ticket as they step into a magical storytelling experience.

Next stop: the North Pole!
