January 27, 2026 – A beloved Sunset Mesa tradition returned this winter as students gathered for Cookies & Cocoa—a simple, joyful event that continues to be a favorite year after year.
Hosted by the Parent Association, students were treated to a variety of cookies and warm cups of hot cocoa on a chilly day. Classes often paired up, giving older and younger students a chance to spend time together, talk, and enjoy the moment.
While the treats are certainly a highlight, it’s the sense of community that makes this event special. Laughter, conversation, and shared time across grade levels create meaningful connections that go beyond the classroom.
Sometimes the simplest traditions are the most memorable—and Cookies & Cocoa is a perfect example of that at Sunset Mesa.
