The teaching staff is helpful, attentive, and with the smaller class sizes, makes the education of my children feel more personalized to their needs. Sunset Mesa lunches are provided by Rhubarb & Elliott. Rhubarb & Elliott want you to share their adventures in food with them. They will continue to find new and exciting ways to create food that is good and good for your child. They currently make snacks and lunches for several local schools, run a small breakfast cafe; provide carry-out meals and catering services from their kitchen.

To order a school lunch simply click on the Order Lunch button above. Lunch orders can be placed daily or for the entire month in advance. Orders can be placed (or cancelled for credit up until 9:00 AM on the day of delivery. If you forgot to order lunch before 9:00 AM you can call or text Rhubarb & Elliott directly at 505-246-9608 and have a lunch added or cancelled.Late call-ins, add-ons and/or cancellation an order will be charged a $1.00 service fee.   Orders cannot be placed or cancelled after 10:00 AM on the day of.

Art

The goal in the Art curriculum is to create enthusiasm and appreciation for fine arts and for the student artists’ growth through a natural progression of experiences. The children learn to apply numerous methods (drawing, painting, sculpting, collage, printmaking) to create art. They are encouraged to evaluate their feelings and experiences resulting in continuous improvements in technique and further exploration of alternative methods.

Library

Our library curriculum emphasizes fostering a love of reading and developing information literacy and research skills to prepare students for later schooling.  Lessons are planned around the American Association of School Librarian’s (AASL) National School Library Standards.
